'48 Chevy Pickup

Russell Thomas, Pueblo, CO | |||||||
![]() For Sale-Go There This '48 Chevy (Roadster) Pickup started out several years ago as a junk-pile "Rust-bucket". This creation was originally created by Ken ¸immerman -"Zim's street Rods" of Pueble, Colorado, Bob White and myself. The top was cut off (Zim got a new Sawsall..lol) and made into a roadster, and added '98 Chv step bed. The top was discarded so I added a soft top, but, because of leakage, noise, etc., I later butchered another junk pile pickup and created a lift-off steel top for it (chopped 4"). Zim did the paint - PPG Vibrance Copper pearl w/PPG cream w/ copper pearl addead. George "Kustom Signs" Weldon, also of Pueble, did the graphics and pin-striping. It has a Heidt's Mustang II front suspension, a Ford 8" rear and Idit steering. We dropped a 327 ci moter in it with a Crane Roller cam and lifter, custom made Hi-top pistons and all the fun goodies. It features PW, Air, a Kick-@$$ Pioneer stereo system, faux leather seats and trim. |
